Odyssey collects nothing, sends nothing and connects to no one.
Odyssey does not collect your personal data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party software development kit, and it makes no network request while you use it. Nothing about you reaches CIBELE, Inc. or anyone else.
This is not a promise of intent: it is how the app is built. Its content, its images and its maps are embedded in the app itself.
So that the app can remember where you are, it writes a single entry into the storage area of its own container. That entry holds:
This stays on your device. We have no way to read it, and iOS erases all of it when the app is deleted.
The works shown in Odyssey are reproduced from the public domain and are embedded in the app. The credits name their source — most often Wikimedia Commons — and the reason the work is in the public domain. These are citations: the app loads nothing from those sites while you read, so no third party learns what you are looking at.
If you send us an email, we receive your address and your message, and keep them only for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange.
Odyssey is suitable for a wide audience and processes no data, so it collects nothing from a child either.
If the app ever started to process personal data, this policy would be updated and the change announced in the app before it took effect.
